WELCOME BY THE RECTOR

Welcome to the UPEACE website! We are delighted that you are interested in our University.

UPEACE is an unique institution, with an unique mandate. It is currently completing a revitalization programme and is expanding and developing new programmes to ensure that its courses and teaching materials are available throughout the world.

We have just opened a new academic year, with a record number of admitted students. Offering them the best possible academic programmes, of course, is our first priority. But this is not our only priority; we have to achieve financial stability, to strengthen our regional activities, to develop our distance learning capabilities and to continue building our reputation as a leading organization in Peace and Conflict Studies through education, research, training and other activities.

Every country, every community, needs leaders for peace.  We are helping to prepare such leaders, who can take their places at every level of society, and in every walk of life.

I will always be interested in your ideas and your comments, so we can continue to ensure UPEACE's present and its future.
