Semester Abroad Programme

Description

The University for Peace (UPEACE) offers graduate students from other institutions the opportunity to enroll in UPEACE courses for credit held during the first semester (mid-August to mid-December), or the second semester (January to mid-July). SAP is a unique opportunity to participate in a multicultural learning community comprised of participants, faculty and staff from around the world.

Courses are taught in English.

UPEACE staff can assist with enrolling in Spanish instruction and locating housing in nearby Ciudad Colon.

Requirements

• Official letter from the home university granting approval of courses to be taken at the University for Peace through the Semester Abroad Programme and to be transferred back to the home university
• Official undergraduate transcript
• Insurance coverage
• Completion of the online registration form

Registration Deadlines

• First semester deadline to register is May 15th
• Second Semester deadline to register is October 15th

Course Fees and Payment Deadlines

• For the academic year 2008 - 2009, the cost is $950 per credit. This fee may change in the following year
• SAP participants will be billed when the online registration form is received
• Deadlines for payment of course fees is July 15th for the first semester and December 1st for the second semester
