Executive Training ProgrammesThe United Nations mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) is offering specially-tailored executive training programmes aimed at preparing business professionals, senior, mid-level executives, managers, and leaders from all world regions in subjects which are directly relevant to their work. These training programmes will be planned according to each group's specific interests, needs, time assigned for the programme and general objectives. They will cover a variety of topics ranging from specific market sector issues to general leadership skills, and will include relevant background issues such as international relations, conflict resolution, corporate social responsibility, sustainable and equitable development, multiculturalism, responsible management, international law, sustainability, and the world economy. Executive training programmes will bring together UPEACE faculty and partner institutions to design programmes to be conducted in Costa Rica and other locations, such as New York or other world capitals. These executive training programmes will provide participants with an opportunity to develop teamwork and collaboration, to absorb a common language and experience, to focus on targeted information, and to build stronger relationships within the sponsoring organization. The University for Peace (UPEACE) is mandated by the UN General Assembly to "provide humanity with an institution of higher education for Peace". UPEACE fulfills this mandate by offering 12 MA programmes in fields related to peace studies to a very diverse, select student body at its main campus in Costa Rica, through partnerships and distance learning with global outreach, through unique worldwide capacity-building programmes for partner institutions interested in developing their peace studies programmes, and through executive training programmes for institutions, organisations, and enterprises which seek professional growth.
