The UPEACE Institute is open to practitioners, participants and academics interested in the fields of environment, peace, conflict, entrepreneurship, terrorism, development, film, violence, democracy, drama and conflict transformation, media, insurgency, human rights, fundraising, and food security. A college degree and other UPEACE admission requirements are needed for those participants that wish to obtain credits for their own programmes. For training purposes no college degree is required. Course Modalities As has been done in the past, three different course modalities (1, 2 and 3 credit courses), will be offered in order to meet the needs of a larger audience. These correspond to 15, 30 and 45 contact hours, over the course of 1, 2 or 3 weeks accordingly. The 2 and 1 credit courses will run in the afternoons from 1-4 pm. UPEACE participants are required to complete 3 credits during the UPEACE Institute. Thus, they may choose to attend a regular 3 credit course or a combination of 2 and 1 credit or three 1 credit courses to make up the required number of credits from the Electives period. For more information please contact the Department of Academic Administration at institute@upeace.org. |
