UPEACE and UNITAR-POCI are collaborating to provide students in the COTIPSO program a wide range of classroom courses on the various dimensions of peace operations.

UPEACE offers courses as part of the Distance Education element of the COTIPSO program, which involves in-residence classroom coursework:

"Classroom Instruction is conducted at recognized national peacekeeping training centers and universities world-wide. Classes are scheduled for calendar year 2006 in North and South America, Asia, Africa, Australia, and Europe. Click here for the full schedule, which is updated monthly as additional classes are added. Please note that students wishing to participate in a particular classroom course are to make arrangements directly with the provider of the classroom training. Students may begin the programme with attendance at one of the recognized classroom courses or they may begin with the distance-education component as discussed immediately below."
