The World Earth Human Alliance (WEHA), jointly with the Korean International Graduate University for Peace (IGUP), sponsored the Second Earth Human Peace Forum held in Seoul, Korea on March 1-3, 2003.

This event gathered more than 800 peace and spiritual leaders, scholars and activists from Korea –including government delegates and ministers, and other countries throughout the world, with the purpose of discussing the establishment of peace during the 21st century. To that end, participants created a network for peace, particularly spanning the areas of politics, the environment, religion and culture.

The Forum also represented a valuable opportunity to commemorate the opening of the first International Graduate University for Peace in Korea, which offers a number of programs aimed at training students who are interested in world peace.

During the opening ceremony of the Forum, Mr. Nay Thun, Coordinator of UPEACE Asia and the Pacific Program, along with Mrs. Hanna Strong, gave a scroll to Dr. Lee as a token of appreciation for visiting the UPEACE campus in Costa Rica, last January
