The Africa Programme of the UN Mandated University for Peace wishes to announce the publication of the first issue of a peer reviewed journal, Africa Peace and Conflict Journal. The journal will be published twice annually (December and June), and will focus on peace and conflict issues relevant to the African continent. The inaugural issue, Volume 1, Number 1 Winter 2008, focuses on general themes including non violent strategies, indigenous ideas on peace in Africa, language and peace, memory and trauma healing and the role of sport in peacebuilding.
