“The view from the University for Peace” at Pula Croatia

Location: City of Pula, Croatia.

Pula photography exhibition"The view from the University for Peace" photography exhibition opened at the Grand City Hall, City of Pula, Croatia with the attendance of local dignitaries, media coverage and a message of multiculturalism into the local traditions of Istria, a dual-culture region, with a mix of Croats and Italians.

The purpose of this rich and impressive exhibit is to share UPEACE’s vision of promoting respect and tolerance in today’s world with as many people as possible. The main intention is to demonstrate that building peace is always possible.

"The view from the University for Peace" showcases 30 photos taken by members of the UPEACE community in different locations, and under different circumstances.

The exhibition will run through until the end of September with average of about 5,000 visitors.

The exhibition is being hosted by the European Center for Peace and Development (ECPD), as part of an agreement with UPEACE. The opening of the exhibition also plays a role as a regional promotion activity for both institutions.

>Pula photography exhibitionThe European Center for Peace and Development (ECPD) of the United Nations mandated University for Peace is an international educational and research institution with headquarters in Belgrade. ECPD carries out numerous multidisciplinary activities aimed at improving the quality of life and development strategies of individual countries and regions. Among these activities, special attention is given to the transfer of knowledge, education, and training as the universal source of the progress of all societies.

UPEACE would like to express its sincere appreciation to those who have contributed their pictures and stories; their experiences have made this exhibition unique.
