Registration Guidelines for UPMUNC 2012

The UPMUNC team cordially welcomes you to the registration for the UPMUNC 2012.

Please read the following instructions before you proceed to the registration section.

  1. You can either apply as a “Delegate” or as a “Journalist”.
  2. A participant cannot represent his/her own country.
  3. After the assignment of country and committee, you will be asked to please prepare a short background paper about your country and its position regarding the topics listed. Committee chairs will be emailing all delegates two weeks before the conference for the background paper.
  4. If you are applying from abroad and should you need a VISA for attending the conference, please refer to the following website: http://migracion.go.cr/
  5. Necessary letters can be issued upon request should the need arise regarding visa purposes
  6. You must submit your top 2 options for the bodies you would like to be represented in, and top 3 options for the countries represented therein.
  7. Please refer to the committees and topics page for a complete list of countries and committees.

Countries will be assigned to applicants so as to maintain proper regional and gender balance in each committee.

Participation fees apply

Fees for UPEACE students is 15$ that includes 3 lunches, 6 coffee breaks, two diplomatic cocktail receptions, social events and a certificate of participation.

Fees for external participation is 25$ that includes 3 lunches, 6 coffee breaks, two diplomatic cocktail receptions, social events and a certificate of participation.

Late applications fees may apply.
