Rector Francisco Rojas speaks at Inter-American Defense College
31 March, 2016. Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington D.C. – UPEACE Rector Francisco Rojas visited the Inter-American Defense College last week to participate, as Keynote Speaker, at a conference on the advances and challenges of the hemispheric security system, which was delivered to the current Class 55, comprised of 62 students from 12 nations within the Western Hemisphere.
The conference took place at Fort Lesley J. McNair in Washington D.C. and is one of several academic events held by the College throughout the year as part of students’ path towards completing their master’s degree. On this occasion, the student body included representatives from Colombia, Canada, Brazil, Haiti, Chile, Peru, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, the USA, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
The IADC is an accredited institution that offers a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Inter-American Defense and Security. It is an international educational institution operating under the aegis and funding of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Inter-American Defense Board. It provides a professionally oriented, multidisciplinary, graduate-level course of study.
Rector Rojas' visit to the college culminated with an IADC tradition – an official group photo with all the students and guests of the conference in front of the college.
