28 May 2015. San José, Costa Rica - On Thursday 28 May, SINAES (National System of Higher Education Accreditation) will hold its annual Quality Expo Fair at the National Stadium. This educational fair will be visited by more than 4000 high-school students from private and public schools in Costa Rica who are looking for accredited academic programmes offered in Costa Rica.
The University for Peace (UPEACE) will attend the event in representation of its accredited programme on Environment, Development and Peace , which currently has 4 specializations in Sustainable Food Systems, Climate Change Policy, Environmental Security and Governance, and Sustainable Natural Resource Management. These programmes became accredited in 2014 and will soon be followed by our other programmes.
This event will bring together the best higher education academic programs offered in Costa Rica in all fields, all of which have undergone a rigorous evaluation system in order to be able to opt for accreditation.
The activity is free and open to students, high-school counselors, parents, employers, and anyone interested in learning more about accredited programmes in Costa Rica.
The opening ceremony, to be held on Thursday 28 May at 8:00 a.m., will be led by the Minister of Public Education and former SINAES President, Dr. Sonia Marta Mora, alongside current SINAES President Alvaro Cedeño.
