18 November 2016. Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - Former Vicerrector and current visiting professor of UPEACE, Amr Abdalla, hosted an Alumni Reunion at his home in Addis Ababa. We had the participation of about 15 alumni from different UPEACE generations and programmes.
Some of the atendees were: Jacob Enoh Eben (2008), who is currently the Spokesperson for the Chair of the African Union Commission; Saman Mastiyage Don (2006) who is an Operation Specialist at the UN Resident Coordinator Office in Ethiopia; Golda Keng Ajode (2008) who is currently a Programme Manager of the African Centre for Peace and Security at the Institute for Security Studies ISS; and Yava Bio Bawa (2008) who also works as Training Coordinator at the ISS in Addis Ababa.
UPEACE Dean Juan Carlos Sainz-Borgo, the Director of the UPEACE Africa Office Dr. Samuel Ewusi and Ambassador Ana Teresa Dengo, UPEACE Observer at the UN Regional Centre in Vienna also attended the meeting.
