Approved by the Academic Council of the University for Peace on 21 September 2021

The University for Peace (UPEACE), including its regional offices, recognizes that all research activities involving human participants or subjects need to consistently follow ethical guidelines to ensure that the participants are treated with respect and care and are not harmed, or their rights violated. Researchers have an ethical responsibility to minimize the potential risks to which their participants may be exposed.
